Maulana Fazl calls on Sindh governor

KARACHI: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Moulana Fazl-Ur-Rehman on Saturday called on governor Sindh Mohammad Zubiar and discussed ongoing political scenario in the country.

While thanking Fazl-Ur-Rehman for paying visit to the governor house, Zubair said that JUI-F chief is a veteran politician and the current political situation demands someone like him. “We need Fazl-Ur-Rehman’s experience to overcome the ongoing political crisis,” Zubair said while complimenting JUI-F chief.

The governor said that the federal government is taking measures for the welfare of the people, adding that energy department is being given priority.

Later, talking to media, Zubair said that Joint Investigation Team has filed its findings in the Supreme Court but the same cannot be termed as judgment or verdict until the court makes a decision. “The Prime Minister’s resignation will be tantamount to violate the mandate given to him by millions of voters,” he said.

The JUI-F chief said that that Pakistan cannot afford instability. He urged all political parties to show maturity. While commenting on opposition parties’ demands for PM resignation, he said that nobody could make a decision on the JIT report but the apex court. He went on to say that Supreme Court has to decide the PM’s fate and the demand of resignation before the court’s judgment is illogical.
