Nursing students continue protest against unfavorable result

KARACHI: Nursing students of government and private sector nursing institutions of the province protested outside Karachi Press Club (KPC) on Thursday against what they claimed irregularities in annual results of nursing examination.

Hundreds of nursing students, who had appeared in the exams but could succeed, gathered outside KPC and demanded the removal of controller and deputy controllers of Sindh Nursing Examination Board (SNEB).

They said that over 60 per cent nursing students were declared failed in annual result announced by SNEB a few days ago. The board had not rechecked the papers properly and many irregularities were found in the results, the protestors alleged.

Young Nurses Association (YNA) Sindh General Secretary Abdul Wahid asked the government to remove SNEB officials from their posts as he said they have failed to compile fair result.
