Yasir named as fourth player in Davis Cup squad

Karachi: The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Sunday announced that Yasir Khan has been named as the fourth member of Pakistan Davis Cup team for the tie against Hong Kong.

Pakistan will meet Hong Kong in the Davis Cup tie, which is the semifinal of Asia Oceania Group 2, and will be played during April 7-9 at the Pakistan Sports Board in Islamabad.

The spot of the fourth player fell vacant when Mohammad Abid Ali Akbar conveyed his non-availability for the tie dates. Other team members are Aisamul Haq, Aqeel Khan and Mohammad Abid Mushtaq.

Mohammad Khalid Siddique has been appointed as the non-playing captain and Mushaf Zia, another former Davis Cupper, will be the Team Manager cum Coach.

PTF has already announced to hold a training camp at Lahore from March 21 under the supervision of Mohammad Khalid Siddiq.
