LARKANA:A man drowned in Rice Canal while his wife and son were rescued here on Saturday.
Kirshan Bagri was coming home with his wife and a son on a bike after selling clothes to earn livelihood when a stray dog chased them due to which he lost control on the vehicle and fell into Rice Canal near Lahori Regulator and drowned.
However, his wife Meggy and little son Nanik Ram were rescued by the people. His body was shifted to Chandka Hospital where doctors announced brought dead. On Friday, a little boy drowned in Rice Canal near new bus stand and his body was recovered later. District Administration must take foolproof measures to prevent further deaths as people specially children will try to take bath frequently in the canals due to hot weather.
