DSP, SHO suspended over negligence in children’s murder case

KARACHI:On the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, DSP Chunian and SHO have been suspended for showing negligence in the children’s murder case.

The chief minister made it clear that strict action will be initiated wherever negligence has been shown by the police. Meanwhile, provincial ministers Hashim Dogar and Sardar Asif Nakai visited the residences of the bereaved families in Chunian and expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief.

They also assured the provision of justice on behalf of the chief minister. Buzdar also directed the law minister Raja Muhammad Baharat and IG Police to reach Chunian adding that both should visit the place of crime and console the bereaved family members as well.

The law minister and IG Police should personally monitor the investigations, he added. He also directed the cabinet committee on law and order to reach Chunian and made it clear that such horrific incidents are not tolerable. The killers will not escape from the exemplary punishment, he added.
