DADU:Chief Secretary Sindh has taken notice of price hike in Dadu in a video link meeting on Thursday. The meeting was held with Commissioner Hyderabad and Deputy Commissioner Dadu.
The ADC-1, AC and Mukhtiarkars visited different markets of the city and fined over 30 profiteers and arrested one. The goods could not be provided to utility stores despite announcement of subsidy. The Chief Secretary directed Deputy Commissioner Dadu to take actions on daily basis against the profiteers and furnish reports. The visits should also be made at utility stores and it should be ensured whether good are supplied to the stores or not, he said.
On which DC directed ADC-I to pay visits to the markets to check price of essential items. ADC-I Abdul Ghafar Soomro visited different markets and utility stores of the city. He also received lists of goods from the utility stores.
Soomro said that goods had not been provided to utility stores despite announcement of subsidy by the federal government.
