3-day Cultural Festival in Thatta from April 27
Thatta, Sindh: Sindh Culture Department has planned to organize a 3-day cultural festival in Thatta on April 27, which will be participated by prominent personalities, Secretary Culture, Abdul Aziz Uqaili said.
Talking to newsmen on Saturday at local press club, Uqaili said eminent scholars would present papers at a conference while Malakhra (Sindhi wrestling), camel and horse race, livestock exhibition, music concert, cultural and food stalls would also be organized during three-day event.
Sindh government has sanctioned all the schemes for preserving the historic places of the province including Thatta, Makli and Bhanbhore, costing Rs.200 million, and the work on these schemes would start soon, he told.
Uqaili said the 30th death anniversary of renowned historian Pir Hussamuddin Rashdi will be observed on April 01 (Sunday) at Makli, Thatta.
