Customs Win World environment and AntiDrug day Canoe Kayak Championship 2012

QUETTA: Pakistan’s Largest Girls canoeing Training Camp ended successfully at HDWSA in Hanna Lake Quetta. Ninety seven girls and 35 boys participated in the Canoe and Kayak paddling training camp.

The first phase of training camp was organized in connection with world Environment day on 5th and 6th June 2012 while the 2nd phase of the training camp and one day Canoe and Kayak paddling Championship for boys and girls was being organized and held as per International Canoe Federation ICF rules at Hayat Durrani Water Sports Academy HDWSA Hanna Lake Quetta in connection with International Day against Drug Abuse 2012 supervised by Balochistan Canoeing and kayaking association under the Patronage of Pakistan Canoe and Kayak Federation.

Pakistan Customs Won World environment day and International Day against Drug Abuse Canoe Kayak Championship 2012. The championship includes K1 200, m U16, K1 200, m U18. K1, 200, m U18 Girls. K1, 200,M open boys. K1, 200,M 0pen Girls. K1, 500,M open boys. K1 500,M 0pen Girls. K2, 200,M open boys. K2, 200,M 0pen Girls. K2, 500,M open boys. C1 500,M 0pen boys.

Mohammad Abubakar Durrani of Pakistan Customs Sports Board Quetta clinched two Gold Medals in K1 200, M U18 K1, 200,M open and was declared best kayak paddler of the championship.

Other medal winners were Farhanullah Kakar, Mohammad Shoaib Khilji, Ziauddin Kassi , Mohammad Yousuf, Amanullah Durrani, Naseebullah Sadozai, Mohammad Usman Khilji, Mohammad Umar Durrani, Basharat Khan Khilji, Syed Shyer Yaar Khan, Ezatullah Kakar, Shahjan Tareen, Moizur Rehman Kakar, Miss Amna Tareen, Miss Bakhtawar Khan, Miss Zarmina Rehman Khilji. Miss Fatima Khan, Miss Shazia, Miss Nazia Baloch. all the equipment’s i.e. Canoe , Kayak racing Boats, Paddles , lifesaving jackets, Motor Boats for Umpires , Judges and rescue, technical staff Judges etc for the training camp and championship were provided free of cost by HDWSA. The Secretary General of PCKF and Chief Executive HDWSA Hayatullah Khan Durrani appreciates the role of Csaba Szanto official and expert of International Canoe Federation ICF for his outstanding efforts and cooperation with PCKF for the promotion and development of Canoe and Kayak Sports in Pakistan. He awarded Medals , certificates and shields to the winners and participants.

The championship was sponsored by Pakistan Customs Sports Board Quetta. in the end of championship to create awareness and involve youth players raising voice for environment protection and conservation of Juniper forests by taking remedial measures all the participants of the championship took part in the protect environment project at HDWSA Hanna Lake by watering Trees, plants , Shrubs.
