QUETTA: Two female polio workers were killed in an act of target killing here Thursday.

According to detail armed men opened fire on two female polio workers mother and daughter when they were busy in feeding polio drops’ door to door in Shalkot area here today. The two died instantly. Their bodies were shifted to Bolan Medical College complex.

Police reached the scene and started investigation.

Acti9ng DIG Police Aitzaz Goraya inspected the site. Speaking with Newsmen he said that security accompanied polio teams at transit point. Generally duties are assigned in their respective areas. He said clues have been found against accused who would be nabbed soon.
