26 more clinics sealed off in a week

KARACHI:Anti-Quackery teams of Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) sealed off 26 more clinics in a week across the Sindh province.

The anti-quackery teams also issued warning notices to six other clinics over non-compliance while six clinics were found compliant. Dalpat Jaundice Center at New Doctor Plaza, Nazimabad Karachi was sealed after detailed inspection by Inspection and Enforcement team (IandET) of DAQ, SHCC.

The Directorate of Anti-Quackery SHCC in their robust drive against quacks has been taking vigorous actions against quacks in Sindh. In this week, 15 FIRs have been lodged by the Directorate out of which 12 FIRs lodged against quacks and 3 against Human Rights and Defenders Organization ( HRDO) for facilitating and helping quacks in illegal desealing of Healthcare Establishments (HCEs) in District Sanghar which were previously sealed by Inspection and Enforcement Team of Directorate of Anti-quackery SHCC (IandET, DAQ SHCC).

CEO SHCC Dr Minhaj Qidwai and Director Clinical Governance and Training attended the meeting chaired by Health Minister Sindh Dr Azra Pechuho regarding review of vertical programs of Health Department, Sindh focusing TB, HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis.

The Directorate of Clinical Governance and Training SHCC held a meeting of Sindh Infection Prevention and Control Task Force SHCC. In the meeting, a proposal of master trainers for Infection Control Program in Sindh has been discussed.

The Directorate of Complaint has registered a total 120 complaints so far out of which 80 were disposed off, 34 complaints are under process while 6 are sub-judice.
