KARACHI: The district administration on Wednesday challaned 29 poultry sellers for not displaying rate list besides imposing more than Rs 26,000 fines, while a shopkeeper was arrested and jailed for challenging official commodity rate.

The action was taken on the directives of Karachi Commissioner Ejaz Ahmed Khan to stop the menace of profiteering, overcharging and hoarding of the commodities.
