SAJAWAL:Sujawal police on Monday registered a case against 30 sacked employees of local government for holding a protest demonstration seeking restoration of their jobs.
The booked employees include Shahnawaz Memon, Ayub Khoso and Mahesh Kumar. The police also raided various places to arrest the protesters. The employee held protest Sunday that triggered action from the police.
The sacked employees told media that they had been sacked after their appointment in 2012-13. They said that Sindh Assembly Deputy Speaker Rehana Leghari had got the protest called off after giving assurance of solving the issue, but contrary to it, they were booked by the police, which was a great injustice to them.
They demanded of higher authorities to look into the issue and abolish case against them besides restoring their jobs so that they could be able to earn livelihood for their children.
