9kg heroin recovered from woman at Lahore airport

LAHORE:   Pakistan Customs foiled a bid to smuggle heroin at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore on Wednesday.

According to sources, a Czech Republic national woman, Tereza Hluskova, was scheduled to fly Abu Dhabi from Lahore airport.

Pakistan Customs officials recovered nine kilograms of heroin from her possession.

The customs officials refused to hand over the alleged smuggler to Anti-Narcotics Force and shifted her to the customs house for further interrogation.

Sources said that the alleged smuggler was arrested by customs after she managed to pass through two checking counters of the ANF.
