Action demanded against petrol stations looting customers

KARACHI:Karachi Transport Action Committee (KTAC) president Ashraf Banglori on Sunday said that the owners and employees of petrol stations in Karachi are earning millions of rupees by tampering fuel meters.

In a statement, Banglori appealed to Sindh government and Director Rangers Sindh to take action against petrol station owners looting poor citizens in the province.

He said 70 percent petrol pump owners across the Sindh province had tampered the meters to lesser the volume of fuel.

“It seems that the customers are helpless before powerful fuel lords. Public is continuously being exploited by these dishonest fuel lords as the provincial government has performed nothing for bringing the malpractice to a halt despite complaints,” he said.

Banglori demanded action against the corrupt fuel mafia.
