Affected family begins hunger strike for missing man’s recovery

KARACHI: A family on Sunday started a 24-hour hunger strike in front of Karachi Press Club (KPC) for safe recovery of its missing person.

The family members Ms Tanveer Areejo, Neelam Areejo and Sanghar Areejo reached KPC, held a protest demonstration and later sat on a hunger strike for recovery of missing person Khadim Hussain Areejo.

Talking to media outside KPC, Ms Tanveer, the daughter of missing man, informed that her father Khadim Hussain went missing on 17 April 2017 from Shahbaz in Hyderabad while going to his office in Food Department.

Ms Tanveer told media that she did not know whereabouts of her father who disappeared nine months back. She said that her father was a government employee in Food Department but was declared a proclaimed offender. She added that her father is innocent and we appeal to the government to play its due role for his recovery.
