AJK: (AJK Premier visits areas close to LoC)

ISLAMABAD: AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan visited Samahni, Chamb, Barnala , Nikyal and Abbaspur areas close to the Line of Control (LoC) on Tuesday to express solidarity with the affectees of Indian firing.

During the visit, he was briefed about the problems faced by the local people due to unprovoked Indian firing. Speaking on the occasion, the AJK Prime Minister said the people of Kashmir are ready to sacrifice their lives in case of any aggression from the enemy.

He said people of Azad Kashmir fully stand with Pakistan Armed Forces. He rejected Indian claims of surgical strikes in Pakistani soil as baseless. He said earlier the Indian side also orchestrated drama of Uri attack to malign Pakistan.

Senior Minister Ch Tariq Farooq, Raja Maqsood Khan, Raja Razzaq Khan, Raja Ali Shan and Raja Ejaz Khan also addressed the audience.

Earlier when Prime Minister arrived at Samahni , PML(N) leader Raja Maqsood Khan and Raja Munir Ullah Khan welcomed him. This was first time in the history of Tehsil Samahni that any AJK Prime Minister ever visited it (Samahni).

Raja Farooq Haider also addressed the members of village defence committees and affectees of Indian firing on LoC and said that we are fully alert with our brave army to defend ourselves.

At Chamb Iftikharabad, Minister for Information Mushtaq Minhas, member AJK Legislative Assembly Col (r) Waqar Ahmed Noor and Mirza Zafar Hussain Advocate also addressed the gathering while senior minister Ch Tariq Farooq, Raja Maqsood Khan and others were present on the occasion.

At Fetepur Thekyala Minister for Revenue Sardar Farooq Skindar and former minister and member Kashmir Council Sardar Naeem Khan received the Prime Minister at helipad.

While addressing the gathering the Prime Minister expressed solidarity with affected people by Indian firing on LoC. Prime Minister said that AJK government would resolve all issues of local population along the LoC.

Minister for Revenue Sardar Farooq Sikandar said that India could not demoralize the civil population through its cowardice acts. Prime Minister also called on “Salar e Jamhuriat” Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan at his residence.

At Abbaspur, while addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister appealed to United Nation and peace loving countries of the world to take serious notice of Indian aggression at Line of Control.

He strongly condemned the unprovoked Indian shelling at Line of Control and urged the United Nation to ensure the safety of civilian population residing at LoC. He said armed forces of the country are fully capable to give befitting response to the enemy for any misadventure.

Minister for Information Mushtaq Minhas said that India is misleading its nation and has no capacity to run surgical strike in Azad Kashmir. The PM took the Ariel route to visit the affected area close to LoC by Indian firing. Senior Minister Ch Tariq Farooq and Minister Information Mushtaq Minhas were with him.
