ISLAMABAD: AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that all out efforts are being made to develop Azad Kashmir on modern lines.
Talking to different public delegations in Islamabad on Friday, he said steps are being taken to upgrade the existing infrastructure in the state.
Raja Farooq Haider Khan said besides introducing reforms in public sector institutions, the government has taken tangible measures to raise living standard of the people in the remote areas of the state.
He said state government is focusing hydropower generation and development of tourism in the liberated area. He said to create job opportunities, a mega project of tourism corridor at a cost of Rs 10 billion is under consideration.
He said hefty amount is being spent on the construction of 290 kilometer new roads while existing roads are also being upgraded.
