Al-Khidmat arranges ceremony for orphans in Lyari

KARACHI: Al-Khidmat Foundation Karachi held an educational kit distribution ceremony in Lyari on Saturday.

According to details, a large number of children participated in the event. Educational funds, school bags and stationery were distributed among 176 orphaned students of Lyari cluster.

On the this occasion, Deputy chief of JI district South chapter Abdul Rasheed and the manager of Al-Khidmat orphan care program, Syed Masab said that the purpose of Orphan Support Program is to provide support to the children who lost either one or both of their parents, and hence a vital source of support.

Currently the Orphan Care Program is successfully running in Karachi. Each cluster is administrated by an in-charge, who along with local community looks after the needs of these children.

Al-Khidmat Foundation intends to add another 2000 orphaned children to the support pool.

Babu Husain Baloch, Habib Hassan, Tahir Akbar and other leaders also participated in the ceremony to motivate the students.
