QUETTA: Chief Secretary Balochistan, Mathar Niaz Rana, has said that the incumbent provincial government was utilizing all available resources to provide the best healthcare facilities to the people of the province at their threshold.
These views were expressed by him while presiding over a meeting held here on Friday regarding bringing further improvement in health sector of the province. Directing the concerned authorities for furnishing medicines to all the government run hospitals of the province within a period of one week, he issued directives to the concerned authorities that presence of doctors and subordinate staff in all hospitals and Basic Health Unit (BHUs) of the province be ensured. He said that immediate report of the absent doctors and subordinate staff be submitted immediately so that disciplinary proceedings against the absentees could be initiated.
Appreciating the steps taken by Deputy Commissioners for arranging Kuli Kachari (open court) in their respective districts, he directed them to continue arranging open courts for redressing the grievances of the people. The meeting was attended by Hashim Ghilzai, Secretary, Services and General Administration Department (SandGAD), Aziz Jamali, Secretary, Health Department while Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissions and District Health Officers attended the meeting via video link.
