All set for PTI’s Kisan Insaf Rally’

Hyderabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh senior executive vice president Haleem Adil Sheikh said on Saturday that the provincial government was just befooling the growers of Sindh and buying more time as it was not serious to resolve the problems of farmers including sugarcane growers.

Addressing a press conference at the Hyderabad Press Club (HPC), Haleem said the rulers of Sindh have devastated agriculture sector. The ministers were trying to befool the growers on fake assurance that their issues would be resolved soon. He said the government will do nothing to facilitate the growers and they have to take to streets every year for their rights.

He said the corruption mafia has ruined the sugarcane growers and the PTI was staging a big ‘Kisan Insaf Rally’ on Wednesday under the leadership of PTI Sindh president Dr Arif Alvi. The arrangements of the rally have already been finalized. The rally will march from Hyderabad to been in Karachi where a charter of demands of the growers would be presented to the provincial government.

“The rally would go to the CM House peacefully but if the rulers resorted to use of power, the PTI workers would answer in the same manner and sit-ins would be staged in whole Sindh,”

Haleem alleged that sugar mills in Sindh have been closed on the orders of a henchman of corruption mafia. The days of the corruption mafia were now numbered and the people have pinned hopes on the PTI.
