All set for silver jubilee celebrations at SSUET

KARACHI:Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology is going to celebrate its silver jubilee at the completion of 25 years of its establishment. The university is organizing different programmes that include essay and speech contest, robotic and drone competition, Mushaira, ghazal night and others.

First programme of the series was a seminar on Cyber Security in which detailed discussion was held on cyber threats and cybercrime and how to handle it. Guidance centre will organize photographic and cultural exhibition, silver jubilee leadership camp and students advisors conference.

Apart from Alumni day, Major Adeel Shahid Shaheed memorial symposium will be held along with robotic and drone competition.

Sports Department will organize sports gala to celebrate SSUET silver jubilee that includes the games like 100-meter race, cricket, football, hockey, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, tug of war, snooker and wrestling.

Last programme of the series is Youm e Mohsaneen e Aligarh followed by a grand dinner. In this programme tribute will be paid to the Mohsaneen e Aligarh for their remarkable services and employees will also be appreciated for their performance from the day one.

Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology was established in 1994, since then thousands of engineers have graduated from the institution. SSUET has about 6000 students out of which 1500 students graduate every year. SSUET globally collaborated with university of Malaga (Spain), Politecnico di Milano (Italy), Aarhus University (Denmark), Aalborg University (Denmark), Sofia University (Balgaria), University of Aveiro (Portugal) and Chiang Mai University (Thailand).
