Anti-PPP alliance denounces unemployment


LARKANA:Larkana Awami Ittehad (LAI), anti-PPP alliance, has decided to hold a public meeting after Eid to raise issues of public importance which include electricity crisis and issues of growers which they will face during the next Rabi season sowing.

The meeting was held at Kot Durab in Waleed Muhalla today under the chairmanship of convenor Dr. Safdar Ali Abbasi which was participated by JUI-Fazal’s provincial general secretary Maulana Rashid Mahmood Soomro, Maulana Nasir Mahmood Soomro, MPA and GDA leader Moazim Ali Abbasi, PTI’s Ameer Baksh Bhutto, Dado Unar, Adil Altaf Unar, Sardar Zafar Hussain Sangi, Qurban Ali Abbasi, Riaz Chandio and others.

The meeting expressed its dissatisfaction over massive price hike, unemployment and worsening law and order situation in Sindh.

The leaders said that Bardana (gunny bags) has not yet been given to the wheat growers and the entire district is suffering from prolonged electricity load shedding and outages and several villages have been disconnected from electric supply. They warned the provincial and federal governments that during the upcoming Rabi season growers of Kambar-Shahdadkot and Larkana districts will face irrigation water scarcity due to which the tillers will face hardships if they are not given proper share of their water. The meeting also decided to establish contacts with different political personalities to make LAI more strong and chalk out future lines of action. The next meeting will be hosted by PTI leader Ameer Bakhsh Bhutto after Eid.
