Careem taxi driver shot dead in Karachi

KARACHI: A careem taxi driver was shot dead by unidentified armed men in Defence area of the metropolis on Saturday.

According to SP Clifton Suhai Aziz, a 40-year-old man, Saleem, son of Allah Wasaia, was shot dead by unidentified armed men in Defence’s Phase-1 near the Dukhtaran-e-Awam school.

The police officer further said that two bullets hit him. “It could not be a robbery because his wallet with 5,000 cash and both mobile phones were with him after the incident.

The police started further probe into the incident. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for medico-legal formalities.
