(CITY / EDUCATION): SALUTA to boycott Shah Abdul Latif University exams starting from September 18

KHAIRPUR: Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur Teachers Association (SALUTA) continued its protest for ninth consecutive day against the university administration for legitimate rights of the faculty members and decided to boycott the university examinations staring tomorrow, September 18.

The SALUTA have been demanding the removal of the university registrar and advertisement for the qualifying faculty members. Amid this protest, the controller of examination of the university has announced the conduct of annual exams.

However, the SALUTA has decided to boycott the annual exam duties for the remuneration and TA-DA bills of last two years which have not been cleared yet. SALUTA requested the faculty members no to be the part of this exams. It condemned this attitude of the controller exams wherein he has failed to comply with his responsibilities.

On other hand, the faculty members continued their academic activities by wearing black armbands to register their protest. To decide further strategy, SALUTA has called the meeting of its Executive Council on 20 September.

The Controller of Examinations, Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur, Muhammad Hassan Halepoto has announced that the annual examinations 2020 of BA, BSc, BSc (Home Economics), B.Com, Associate Degree in Arts, Associate Degree in Science, Associate Degree in Commerce Part-I and MA (Previous) would start from September 18, 2021 at all the affiliated degree colleges of the university at Sukkur and Larkana regions. The admit slips of the appearing candidates and timetable have be made available at designated examination centers. The candidates have been advised to appear in the examinations as per timetable.
