Concern over spread of HIV in Ratodero

Larkana:The apathy and ignorance of the rulers of Sindh is worsening the issue of AIDS/HIV in Ratodero and the situation is deteriorating with every passing day, said Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) parliamentary leader in Sindh assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh at Ratodero on Saturday evening.

According to details, Haleem Adil flanked by PTI MPA Saeed Afridi and a large number of party workers reached Ratodero and visited local government hospital along with citizens.

On the occasion, outside the government hospital Ratodero family members of HIV/AIDS patients, citizens and civil society members staged a protest demo. Carrying banners and placards, they raised slogans against the government of Sindh.

Talking to media, Haleem Adil said Bilawal Zardari instead of saving his father, aunty and stooges, should save the lives of people of Sindh. He said in the constituency of Bilawal more than 930 children have already been diagnosed as HIV/AIDS patients. He said Bilawal is staging circuses on streets just for one seat, while he is least concerned about the masses.

He said he has come here to shake the sleeping conscience of rulers. He said local people are deprived of all basic facilities. He said three months ago he had also visited Ratodero and today the situation is just the same. He said the corrupt rulers of Sindh have given gift of AIDS to the people of this province, and the hard-hit areas are the constituencies of Bilawal and Faryal Talpur. He said that even screening kits are provided by the National Health Program of the federal government. CD-4 testing machines are also given by the federal government.
