LAHORE:Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Senator Sirajul Haq has emphasized the need for seeking Allah, the Almighty, forgiveness to get rid of the pandemic, asking people do not panic and take precautionary measures to fight with coronavirus outbreak in the country.

In a statement issued from JI headquarters Mansoora on Monday, he declared the government steps for the treatments of COVID-19 unsatisfactory.

“There is need to establish diagnose and treatment centers at tehsil headquarters level all over the country.”

He also questioned the government that when the virus arrived in Pakistan from abroad then why the infected persons were not diagnosed at airports and check posts established at borders. He held the government responsible for the spread of deadly virus in the country.

“It happened only due to the government negligence,” he said, suggesting rulers now to focus on treatments and take practical measures to check the further spread of the virus. He said the federal and provincial government lacked capacity to cope with such challenges, asking them to avoid blame games and focus on the treatment of the infection.

In the prevailing situation, he said, the people must seek God’s forgiveness, keep themselves clean and washed and there was no need to panic.
