KARACHI:Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah has advised all Provincial Secretaries and heads of the attached institutions to remain alert in view of the existing emergency situation and strengthen coordinated efforts to combat any untoward situation.
He presided an important meeting regarding strategic arrangements to ensure the internal security of Sindh Province and asked the participants to coordinate with the CCR Central (Control Room) established in the Home Department.
The meeting also linked through video reviewed the overall situation under the present circumstance.
Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah asked for cancelling leaves of officers and employees of the Sindh Government. He emphasized the participants to ensure performance of their duties for safety of the masses and all installations and properties in the large national interest.
He stressed the need to keep ready the arrangements of facilitating the people with food, medicines, treatment and all of their basis services like water, power and other utilities.
The heads and representatives of SSGC, K-Electric KDA, KMC, Fire Brigade, Sindh Red Crescent Society, Sindh Boys Scouts Association, Civil Defense, PDMA and all Administrative Secretaries attended the meeting and briefed their preparations regarding internal security and safety arrangements.
Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah maintained that all departments must remain active round o clock and establish close coordination with CCr-Home Department.
Chief Secretary also instructed the IGP and Commissioners/Deputy Commissioners to do the needful, devotedly and zealously. He further noted that all information should be sheered with CCR-Home Department.
IGP Syed Kaleem Imam assured the CS of performing all duties effectively by the Sindh Police. The Sindh Secretary also advised to activate the control rooms in all concerned quarters.
SMER Muhammad Hussain Syed, Syed Home Abdul Kabir Kazi and Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Salalwani also briefed the meeting.
