KARACHI:Counter Terrorism Department of Sindh police on Saturday arrested a three-member robbers gang allegedly involved in several incidents of looting citizens withdrawing money from ATMs.
According to in-charge CTD Chaudhhry Safdar, a CTD investigation team conducted a targeted raid in Orangi town area and apprehended the gang members, Badshah Khan, Raheem and Muhammad Yamin.
The CTD officer further said during initial investigation, the arrested suspects confessed to looting several citizens while withdrawing money from ATM machines under the supervision of the gang member Raheem. He said CCTV footage of the robberies had also been obtained, in which they could be seen looting citizens.
Police also claimed to have recovered three TT pistols from their possession.
