Defence Day observed as Kashmir solidarity day

QUETTA:Defence Day was observed on Friday as a Kashmir solidarity day to express full support to the Kashmiri brethren.

Rallies were taken out in small and big cities and towns of the province, where speakers highlighted plight of the people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Tajik Quomi Ittehad led by Sardar Muhammad Afzal Tajik staged a demonstration outside Quetta Press Club here on Friday.

Balochistan Awami Party led by leader of BAP Chaudry Shabbir and Sana Durrani of women wing also staged demonstration outside Quetta Press Club to express full support to Kashmiri brethren.

In district Kohlu, Commandant Maiwand Rifles Hamayun Aslam and Deputy Commissioner, Kohlu, Abdullah Khoso laid floral wreath on the grave of Shaheed Jahangir Marri and offered Fatiha for Jahangir Marri and other martyrs.

On the occasion Wing Commander, Col Muhammad Hamad, SP Police, Saadullah Khetran, Assistant Commissioner, Kohlu Abdul Sattar Mengal, Tehsildar Wadera Mir Shah Nawaz Marri, Mir Fateh Muhammad Marri, father of Shaheed Jahangir Marri, Ali Murtaza Marri, brother of Shaheed Jahangir Marri, Mir Nisar Ahmed Marri, Haji Mir Bihar Khan Marri, Mir Faiz Muhammad Marri, Mir Mehrab Baloch, Wadera Taj, Umer Farooq Zarkoon, Naeem Zarkoon, Wadera Ghazi Khan, Misri Khan Marri, Saif-ur-Rehman, Babu Taj Muhammad and others were present.

In Sibi, a rally led by Deputy Commissioner Sibi Syed Zahid Shah was taken out from his office. It marched through different roads and reached Press Club Sibi.

Rally was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Rehmatullah Gishgori, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Abbas Malik, Assistant Commissioner, Sibi Mumtaz Marri, District Health Officer, Akbar Sulangi, Social Welfare Officer, Din Muhammad Marri, Deputy Director Agriculture, Fazal Qureshi, students from different educational institutions and large number of people.

Similarly, Defence Day was also celebrated in Chaman, Khuzdar Mach Bolan, Sohbatpur, Dhadar and other towns.
