Demo held against mistakes detected in IBA test

LARKANA: The members of the Educational Action Committee held a large protest demonstration at Jinnah Bagh here on Sunday against mistakes detected in the IBA test for the posts of JEST and PST and making 40% pass marks as appointment policy. They were holding placards in their hands and shouted slogans in favour of their just demands.

Raja Abbasi, Sdam Tunio, Asif Jagirani and others said that a lot of mistakes were made in the IBA test for the appointment of teachers due to which few thousand candidates were declared successful. They said that even the education department has confessed and conceded that mistakes were made in the test. They said recently the education minister has said that 40% marks have been fixed for female candidates but no relief has been granted to male candidates which is unfair, unjust and illogical despite faulty tests.

They urged the education minister and chief Minister Sindh, to fix maximum 40% marks for all candidates to maintain equity, parity and dispense justice. They also demanded that grace marks for postgraduate and trained candidates be also given so that their future could be saved, or else, they warned, they will come out on roads for their right to employment.
