THATTA: Fishermen of Kharo Chhan, led by Ahmed, took out a rally from Badshahi mosque to local press club in Thatta for provision of drinking water and release of Pakistani fishermen from India.

Speaking on the occasion, fishermen community leader, Ahmad, said that the world was preparing to celebrate the International Water Day with pride, but they were still facing drinking water shortage.

He demanded of the government to take measures for the release of imprisoned fishermen from India and also provide drinking water so that they could take a sigh of relief.

Fisherwomen Aysia and Haneefa said their 11 family members were in Indian jail since last three years, but the government was not taking steps to get them released, which was a great injustice with them.
