GWADAR: Mathar Niaz Rana (NSC), Chief Secretary Balochistan said that the development of Gwadar would not only eradicate poverty in Gwadar and Balochistan province but would also usher in new ways of development.
These views were expressed by him during briefing being given to him here on Monday at the Directorate of Development, Gwadar. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Qambrani, Director General, Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) gave threadbare briefing with regard to ongoing development projects being executed under Gwadar Old City Project, steps to be taken to provide pure drinking water to the residents of Gwadar, improvement of sewerage system, promotion of tourism by preserving the heritage of Gwadar Old City, including Jannat Bazar, construction of roads, including Mula Fazal Chowk, in accordance with the modern requirements in order to make old city of Gwadar a model city and improve the standard of government hospitals and educational institutions of Gwadar.
On the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Salman Mufti, Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Home and Tribal Affairs Department, Muhammad Hashim Ghilzai and Deputy Commissioner, Gwadar, Captain (Retd) Jamil Ahmed were also present.
Earlier Chief Secretary Balochistan paid a surprise visit to Shahi Bazar and Mula Fazil Chowk areas of Gwadar old city and interacted with local citizens to ascertain their problems. Moreover, Mathar Niaz Rana (nsc) inaugurated “Junior Hostel” constructed at GDA Hospital, Gwadar with the cost of Rs. 28.108 million.
