DIG Quetta Police speaks

QUETTA: To meet any untoward incident more than six thousand policemen, FC jawans and other law enforcement agencies members have been deployed around assembly premises and in the city. Strict arrangements have been made around the assembly. Temporary check posts have also been erected to foil any attack.

This was stated by Deputy Inspector General Police Abdul Razzaq Cheema while speaking with Newsmen here Friday.

He said that all the roads around Balochistan assembly have been sealed and temporary check posts have been erected to foil any attack. Traffic flowing along Zarghoon road would be passed through alternate roads.

He said policemen have been asked not to sit in trucks and vehicles and in vIew of security apprehensions barriers have also been put along police trucks.

Referring to Zarghoon road suicide attack DIG Police said that investigations were underway. Forensic team from Lahore was not called. All the witnesses will be gathered and sent to Forensic team. He said site of explosion has not been opened for traffic yet.

Meanwhile people faced great difficulties today when members filed monition papers for CM slot in Balochistan assembly. Different roads were closed for traffic today.

For security reasons administration sealed all the roads around Balochistan assembly including Zarghoon road, Anscomb road, Khojak road. It resulted in worst traffic jam during whole day today.

It is added here that whenever there is VVIP movement in the city that day is not less than a curse for the people. Due to closure of roads here today people faced great difficulties.
