ISLAMABAD: Afghanistan has shown readiness to start dialogue with Pakistan forgetting past and start a new chapter.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani speaking in opening of the second Kabul Process meeting in Kabul on Wednesday, he said Afghan government will also work on the list of freeing Taliban prisoners.
He said the peace process and a ceasefire must be agreed upon with the Taliban. Ashraf Ghani said he also sent a strong message to the Taliban as today peace is in their hands.
He called on the group to accept the offer, join the peace process and create unity among Afghans and save the country.
He also announced that Afghan government will issue passports and visas to Taliban members and their families and will also work to remove sanctions against Taliban leaders.
