Directorate General of Trade Organizations event on March 6

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Trade Organizations, Ministry of Commerce & Textile Division in collaboration with Licensed Trade Organizations of Pakistan will organize a consultative session on “Capacity Building of Secretary Generals and Office Bearers” on March 6, 2018 at PRGMEA House Karachi. The event is aimed at enhancing awareness about Trade Organizations Act 2013 and Trade Organisations Rules, 2013 of Pakistan under which trade bodies in Pakistan are issued license to undertake activities in their specified area of jurisdiction.

Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers Exporters Association placed in the category of “Coordinating Trade Organizations” (CTOs) by Regulator Trade Organizations will be the lead trade body for the first event to be participated by Licensed Associations from Southern Region (Sindh and Balochistan).

Directorate General of Trade Organizations selected 16 trade bodies for participation through Secretary Generals and Office Bearers. Merchandise sector will be represented by Associations including Garments, Knitwear, Towels, Gloves, Furniture, Packaging, Pharmaceutical, Auto Parts and Chemicals. From the Agriculture sector, Associations representing business communities engaged in Fisheries, Fruits, Halal Products and Crops have been invited for the Consultative Session.
