KARACHI: Chairman District Municipal Corporation (DMC) Korangi Syed Nayyar Raza on Saturday paid surprise visits to different areas of Korangi for inspecting cleanliness measures.

While visiting city areas along with officials, he inspected cleanliness works and ordered relevant departments to ensure better performance in the institution by resolving public issues.

He said stern action would be taken on the complaint of public regarding cleanliness. He instructed union committee level Inspector and sub-inspector for ensuring cleanliness crew attendance. He also ordered removal of hurdles caused in the flow of storm-water drains in all Union Councils with the cooperation of water and sewerage board. He also directed Director Health to ensure cleanliness around roads, flyovers, shopping centers and other public places for healthy environment.
