Drug peddler woman among 20 apprehended

KARACHI:Karachi police on Monday claimed to have arrested 20 criminals, including a drug peddler woman from different areas of the metropolis during the last 24 hours.

According to police sources, during crackdown on drug peddlers police carried out targeted raids in Docks, Malir, Taimoria, Mouchko areas and apprehended five drug peddlers including a woman, Mustafa bibi wife of Abul Qasim Bangali, Iqbal, Ismail, Ghulam Bashir, and Mohammad Naeem,

The police also claimed to have recovered weapons, a hug quantity of hashish, Gutka and Heroin from their possession.

On a tipoff, police conducted search operations in Memon Goth and Mouchko areas, and seized 2100 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel from a Suzuki with a registration Ku-4278, and a van with a registration KB- 6285, the diesel was concealed into the specially designed hidden cavities of the vehicles, said police.

The police arrested vehicle drivers, khalid son of Siyar, and Bismillah son of Saeed Gul from the spot.

Taimoria Police raided at a sheesha café in B-72-block-L, and detained 11 accused, Ghulam Hyider, Abdul Samad , Kamran, Tahir Abbas, Mohammad Ahmad, Hamad Tariq, Furqan, Abdur Rahim, Khalid Sardar, Uzair Wasi, Aril, Mirza ,

Meanwhile, Shah Latif Town police carried out a raid in a Gutka factory and nabbed two accused, Nasir Ahmed son of Ghulam Hussain, and Habibullah son of Ali Bux, recovered Gutka and manufacturing items.

The police registered FIRs against detainees and started further investigation.
