Economy continues to grow despite covid: PTI leader

LAHORE:The government is making every effort to ensure that the budget for the next financial year proves to be a tool for the development of the country.

It is a special grace of God that Pakistan’s economy continues to improve despite the coronavirus epidemic. This was stated by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior central leader and former federal minister Humayun Akhtar Khan in a statement on Saturday. He said that if business and economy are to be saved, people should ensure implementation of SOPs set to prevent corona epidemic.

“Pakistan’s economy is moving towards continuous improvement which is a special grace of God. The government is making every effort to ensure that the budget for the next financial year proves to be a tool for the development of the country, he added.

Khan said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan had taken timely and correct decisions regarding the first, second and third wave of corona and that was why we are better than other countries amid covid. He said: “The recent outbreak of the corona epidemic is intensifying and the public is urged to strictly adhere to the SOPs. Decisions are being made with a balance to save the lives and businesses of the people, while the people have to support the government to make it successful.”

The former minister says that we have to make progress in the current situation by keeping our thinking positive, therefore, we also appeal to the opposition to refrain from spreading frustration.
