Facing emergency timely is sign of alive nations: Balochistan Governor

QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha said Monday that the NDMA’s role to cope up with any untoward situation and carry out rescue and relief activities during natural calamities was pivotal.

These views were expressed by him while talking to Lt General Akhtar Nawaz, Chairman, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), who called on him at Governor’s House. Agha said that facing emergency timely was the sign of alive nations.

He said, “On the basis of our glorious national norms and lofty principles, we remained united during the need of hour.” Urging the need for expediting the relief activities to compensate for the loss of lives and properties, he said that the quarter concerned had been directed to ensure providing the best healthcare facilities to the injured of Harnai’s earthquake besides ensuring the availability of essential machinery and relief gears to assist the affectees of earthquake.
