QUETTA: FIA Balochistan claimed to have arrested an alleged accused involved in running the illicit business of Hawala/Hundi in a raid conducted at Sarai Namak Chowk, Yazdan Khan Road area of the provincial capital. Foreign currency equivalent to Pakistani Rupees 1807911 was also recovered from the possession of alleged accused during the operation.
According to a statement issued by the media cell of FIA, Quetta on Friday, acting on a tip-off provided by an informer, staff of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Quetta under the supervision of Assistant Director, Muzammil Jataoi, IP Tahir Mehmood and IP Kaleem arrested Pakistani citizen Muhammad Hashim son of Hussain Ali accused of running the illicit business of Hawala/ Hundi in an operation conducted at Sarai Namak Chowk, Yazdan Khan Road area of Quetta.
Different incrementing materials, that is, two mobiles, USD 4104, Irani Riyal 115000000, Afghani 5000, Euru 200, Australian Dollar 400, and Pakistani rupees 506000 were also recovered from the possession of alleged accused during the operation. First Information Report (FIR) was lodged against the alleged accused and further investigation underway.
