Karachi: Aafia Movement Pakistan leader and noted neurophysician of the country Dr Fowzia Siddiqui has thanked political, social, cultural, students, women, human rights organizations and civil society for arranging different programs on the occasion of the birthday of the daughter of the nation, Dr Aafia Siddiqui.

In a statement here Monday, she said that on the 2nd M arch people from all parts of the country contacted and showed solidarity with the daughter of the nation. She said details and pictures of the Aafia birthday programs from different areas are being received and the Aafia Movement volunteers are uploading them on social media. Many of them have already become viral.

She said observing Aafia’s birthday in such a warm manner shows that the masses want her respectable repatriation. She said Aafia was a top educationalist and her PhD thesis was on how to promote education amongst children. She said keeping this in mind gifts were also distributed amongst children on the occasion of her birthday and these gifts are still being distributed amongst the kids.
