Free medical camp in industrial area

KARACHI: Foundation for Research and Human Development (FRHD) organized a medical camp to reduce vulnerabilities in health among the marginalized labourer’s families in collaboration with Saylani Welfare Trust and DMC-Korangi with financial support of Tere Des Home (Germany) at Gulshan-e-Latif, Industrial Area Korangi, Karachi under the Project Reducing Child Labor through Education and Awareness

Nazra Jahan, from the FRHD said the medical camp aimed to provide facility of free Screening and Treatment to prevent eyes, dental and general disease.

At least 660 patients including 143 children, 216 women, 301 males came to medical camp to receive medical assistance and treatment.

A desk was set up for free testing of Hepatitis B and C, where 46 patients were for screening to Saylani Medical Trust for free medical treatment and medicines.

Dr. Ishtiaque Hussain, Assistant Prof at Trauma Center Civil Hospital, Karachi; Ophthalmologist, Mohammad Farhan, Dr. Arshman, Dr. Ms. Saima and others also spoke.
