QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has said that the process of conducting meetings of PDWPs and DSCs be expedited so that authorization of funds for executing development projects could be ensured on time.

This was stated by him while presiding over a meeting held here on to Monday to review progress of new and ongoing development schemes reflected in the PSDP for the fiscal year 2021-22. Khan said in order to evaluate the performance of contractors, a well-coordinated strategy be devised by Communication and Works Department under performance evaluation.

He said that province would start the journey of progress and development at that time when development projects were completed on time. He directed the concerned authorities to expedite the process of conducting meetings of PDWPs and DSCs so that authorization of funds for executing development projects could be ensured on time.

Giving briefing to Chief Minister Balochistan, Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Planning and Development Department, Hafiz Abdul Basit said that the competent forum had accorded approval for authorization of 1731 development projects while approval to authorize 155 development schemes would be accorded by PDWP and 2131 development projects would be authorized by DSC. Briefing with regard to 184 prioritized development schemes was also given.

The meeting was attended by provincial Ministers Mir Arif Jan Muhammad Hasni, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, Engineer Zamrak Khan Achakzai, Chief Secretary, Balochistan, Mather Niaz Rana, Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Planning and Development Department, Government of Balochistan, Hafiz Abdul Basit, Secretary, Finance Department, Abdul Rehman Buzdar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Balochistan, Asfandyar Khan, Secretary, Communication Department, Zahid Saleem, Secretary, Building, Ghulam Ali Baloch, Director General, Public Relations, Balochistan, Shahzada Farhat and Chief Engineer, Communication, Dr. Sajjad Baloch.
