Karachi: The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) has sought support from provincial government of Sindh for the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS).
President UNISAME Zulfikar Thaver has felicitated Syed Murad Ali Shah the newly elected chief minister (CM) of Sindh and wished him all the very best and assured him of full co-operation of the sector.
He said the SME sector is happy that the province now has a young, energetic, educated and experienced CM who has expertise in engineering and finance.
He appreciated the new CM’s plan to focus on law and order, health and education to give new life to the province.
Thaver as chairman working group for capacity building of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS) has requested the support of the government of the Sindh province for capacity building programme under the shared leadership of the World Bank, Ministry of Finance and State Bank of Pakistan. He regretted of lack of interest from the Sindh government and urged the CM to come forward and support this programme which has a scientific approach for fast track promotion of the under privileged sector in Sindh
He said the sector is confident the new CM will try his best to curb corruption which has given a big setback to development work in Sindh and resultantly irrigation and agriculture has suffered.
Thaver stressed the need for good governance and strong administration and hoped the CM will leave no stone upturned to achieve positive results for the progress of the province.
