ISLAMABAD:Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has said the government will call a joint session of Parliament for comprehensive legislation on election reforms.
He was talking to media persons after the PTI parliamentary party meeting here on Wednesday. He said the government has been trying to hold talks with opposition parties on election reforms and legislation in this regard for the last one year.
Referring to the cases against PML-N leader Shahbaz Sharif, the Minister said two cases of more than thirty three billion rupees are under trial in Pakistan against the leader of the opposition. He appealed the judiciary to hold proceedings in the cases against Shahbaz Sharif on daily basis to bring them to logical conclusion at the earliest.
He said PML-N operated money laundering networks from Al Arabia and Ramazan sugar mills in fifty seven bank accounts in the names of mills workers. The Minister urged Nawaz Sharif and other absconders of PML-N to come back to Pakistan and face their cases.
