IGP orders CTD chief to probe Chinese citizen’s murder

KARACHI: Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) AD Khowaja on Monday appointed Counter Terrorism (CTD) In-charge Raja Umer Khitab as Investigating Officer to probe the murder of a Chinese citizen.

A Chinese was killed and a passerby sustained injuries when armed men opened fire on a car near Zamzama Park in Clifton, Karachi. The foreigner was rushed to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for treatment, where he breathed his last.

The IGP took serious notice of the killing and ordered that the FIR should be lodged by the CTD. Besides, Khowaja tasked Khitab to head the investigation himself to bring the culprits to justice.
