IGP orders tight security following Chaman blast

KARACHI: Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) AD Khowaja has ordered that security arrangements be beefed up following the blast in Chaman town on Monday.

A police statement here said that the IGP has directed for taking extraordinary security steps at all important places in the metropolis, such as sensitive installations, government and semi-government buildings, railways stations, airports, industrial and commercial centers, and all worship places of minorities’ community.

The IGP also said that snap checking, patrolling, random checking and measures against crime should be enhanced.
