IGP orders tight security for religious places

KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh A.D.Khowaja on Friday directed relevant officials to boost up security around religious places during Friday prayer.

A police statement here said that the IGP has directed for taking extraordinary security steps at all religious places, sensitive areas, trade centers, airports, railway stations and other important places across Sindh.

He directed all SHOs that snap checking, patrolling, random checking and measures against crime should be enhanced in their respective areas.

He also said that available resources and manpower should be used effectively so as to save life and property of the people.
