IOK: (Shutdown being observed in Pulwama, Shopian districts)

ISLAMABAD: In Occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Pulwama and Shopian districts today, to mourn the death of a youth injured by Indian troops, who succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Srinagar on Wednesday.

The youth, Rayees Ahmed Ganai, a resident of Narpora, Shopian, was injured in firing by Indian troops on protesters in Ganowpora area of Shopian on Saturday.

All shops and business establishments are closed in Shopian and Pulwama districts while traffic is thin.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Hurriyet Forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has deplored the suppression of Kashmiris’ freedom movement by India through military might.
