Karachi: Javeria Khan played a brilliant 115-run knock to undo the effects of Iram Javed’s impressive 128 runs and helped ZTBL record a formidable eight-wicket win eventually in 12th Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah National Women Cricket Championship 2017 at LCCA Ground in Lahore on Sunday.
Despite Iram Javed’s big 128-run inning, which came off only 124 balls, SBP failed to avail a chance to post a huge total and lost nine wickets in 50 overs with 230 runs on board. Iram hit ten boundaries and six sixes in her brilliant knock. Almas Akram picked three wickets.
In its turn, ZTBL easily achieved the victory total in only 39.1 overs with eight wickets in hand – thanks to Javeria Khan for her impressive performance scoring unconquered 115 runs off 116 balls with the help of 17 boundaries. Bismah Maroof also batted well for the winning team scoring 59 off 62 balls with the help of six boundaries.
